in my first assignment in computer graphic's class, i'm trying to re-make Chanel's logo. This time I am going to use Adobe Illustrator CS4 with Adobe Photoshop CS4 assistance. So, now, I am gonna assist you step by step how I created this logo.
Step 1 first, i used the pen tool to shape a quarter part of the logo. After making that single part, i made 3 more copies of the shape. with all 4 shapes i arranged all of them by reflecting and moving them until it looks like the image above.
Step 2 After making the whole main shapes, i topped things up by adding some colors. i added up some colors by changing the foreground and background of the shapes.
Step 3 After all of that shape making in illustrator, i converted the image to photoshop to edit the colors. first, i add some indonesian batik texture on the left part of the shape by layer masking the shape with a batik image i've downloaded from the internet. After adding some texture i added some layer style to make the shine on the the logo by checking the bevel and emboss on the layer style menu.
Step 4 After finishing the logo, i added some gradient for background, and some outer glow and drop shadow on the logo just to make it more appealing to look at.
